Temps des Rêves
Adrian Mesko, former fashion photographer for Vogue & Harpers Bazaar Australia, launched his scarf range in New York in 2010. We met him in Paris, where he shoots fashion for the best magazines in the world and where he realized his Paris serie printed on scarves. We just fell in love with this New York designer, but with a typical Parisian spirit...
Who are you?
I am an Australian photographer living and working in New York.
How did you start in fashion?
I started in London back in 2001 where I assisted fashion photographers for 5 years before moving to Australia and starting my career there.
How would you define your style?
Its a mystery to me.
What inspires you?
Art & Paris.
A few words about this collection...
This collection was dedicated to Paris, a city I have fallen in love with over the last few years.
What's your favorite piece in our selection?
It would have to be At Louis Vuitton - its such an unusual print but there is something very quirky in the whole scenario plus the memory of that little yap yap turning around and unleashing his fury on me is pretty hilarious.
Where do you manufacture your products?
In the land of silk.
Where can we find your collection?
All over the world from New Yorks Barneys, Liberty London, l'exception and colette in Paris among just a few, there's also Japan! Online Net-A-Porter and Matches are the biggest stockists but they only carry a few styles. To find the special pieces like the 'At Louis Vuitton' you need to go to the boutiques listed on my website.
If your brand was a music, a movie, a cocktail...
It would be star Grace Kelly.
